Rekkit.

The criminal act of violently destroying democratic norms and institutions for profit by Donald J Trump and his enablers both foreign and domestic.

Ergo. Donald Trump is Rekkitman.

I invented the word Rekkit to describe what I feel Donald Trump has done to our Country for the past 6 years. It’s short, easy to remember and so simple even the Maganauts can understand it.

The Jan 6th insurrection/coup was the violent airing of grievances by the Trump Rekkiteers. I call it Festervus but I digress.

I am publishing these words a few hours before tonight’s televised Congressional Committee hearings into the Jan 6th attack to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s electoral win in 2020.

I wrote most of this song in the hope that tonight’s hearing; the first of several, will make a difference but I feel our divided nation has metastasized past the point of no return.

The song has not yet been recorded. These are only the lyrics. I hope we see enough change by November that I can toss the third verse and change it to something more uplifting.

Rekkit. Lyrics.

They came to the Capitol / 15.000 strong

Bound and determined / to lay a beating down

They were not peaceful / they were violent to a fault

So who gave permission / for the mob to assault

Bridge

He was hiding in the wings / pulling all the strings

That bully in the White House / our wannabe King

Chorus

If you’ve got something to say / better say it

If you’re too damn afraid / start praying

Cause ain’t no-one gonna do it for you

So speak / or hold your piece.

Verse 1

He hid in the White House / biding his time

Hoping today Democracy would die

But the center held on that fateful day

But surf’s up folks / there’ll be another wave

Chorus

If you’ve got something to say / better say it

If you’re too damn afraid / start praying

Cause ain’t no-one gonna do it for you

So speak / or hold your piece.
