I have written ten songs called “Songs in the key of Climate Change.”

They will be given away to young people around the world to create what they will as part of what I call “The Climate Change Song Challenge.”

The first song is called “The World Where I was Born.

It’s dedicated to Greta Thunberg the Swedish teenager who has galvanized the world with her activism about Climate Change.

The song imagines what the slow destruction of our planet must look like to someone so young.

Kane, Welch, Kaplin.

My favorite Americana band of all time. They no longer perform but they did record three great albums. Wonderful songs that capture the pain and glory of the human condition that are timeless. Great melodies and brilliant lyrics simply sung and played.

The song captures how I hope “Words Made of English” can use stories to never stop fighting with words the creeping Fascism now spreading its authoritarian tentacles across America.

Written permission was given to use the song from Kieran Kane by email.
